Eric grew up in Michigan and attended college at Ferris State University. After a powerful encounter with God he started following Jesus and introducing his fellow students to Christ. As his friends' lives were changed, there was no doubt what he wanted to do. He is still passionate about helping people experience the authentic Jesus of the Bible and works with other churches and leaders to start communities among those who would never consider attending a traditional church.
Eric lives in Wauconda with his two children Lauren (15) and Evan (13). He loves to play golf and guitar.
Eric is the Chicago Director of Forge. The Forge Mission Training Network was founded in Australia by Alan Hirsch, author of The Forgotten Ways and The Shaping of Things to Come with Michael Frost. Forge has recently come to America and specifically to Chicago. Eric's role with Forge is missions supported and focused on directing a residency program designed to train first world missional leaders.
Over the past fifteen years Eric has helped couples get started right. He performs weddings all over the Chicago area.
Eric is the founding pastor of Fusion Church. After resigning in October of 2011 he now serves as an elder and missional coach.
Eric is a founding member and currently serves as the Board Chairman Emeritus of Love INC Southwest. Love INC's mission is to mobilize the church to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ.

Forge Residency: A Forge Residency is a one year journey designed to connect the resident to the resources, people, and learning necessary to equip and encourage him/her to live and lead on mission in his/her local context. The resident is not required to be in vocational ministry.
We are currently forming three residency hubs in the Chicago area one in the city of Chicago, one in the northwest suburbs and one in the far west suburbs. Anyone who is interested should read the residency details and check out Forge America.
